For ten long years, Work With Craft has served the Craft CMS community as the primary place to post a job listing or search for available developers. Although unfortunately, it has spent much of that time in a half-baked state. The potential of Work With Craft often didn't align with what users experienced.
Entering a Brand New Era
Now finally, we have been able to dedicate the time and resources necessary to breath new life into WWC, enabling it to become the best version of itself.
We've completely overhauled the design and UX of the entire site. The style has been greatly modernized, and it's super easy to navigate around the site. Quickly find the information you're looking for, or update your own profiles to put your best foot forward.
Developers and their respective Companies have been properly differentiated, with each Job post now including the company's logo.
A new internal Messaging System
To make it even easier for talented developers to apply for posted jobs, WWC now includes an internal messaging system. This opens the channel of communications as wide as possible, while still protecting users by hiding their email addresses.
It's possible for both Developers and Companies to enable the internal messaging system. To protect against spam and abuse, only Companies can contact individual Developers, and vice versa.
Human Moderation
In fairness, this part isn't new. Since 2016, a human has manually reviewed each and every Job post and Developer profile. This level of human-based review is necessary to prevent spam and non-Craft posts from sneaking through.
Additionally, we're now providing moderation for the new internal messaging system (see above). If you ever feel spammed or harassed on a message thread, simply report the thread so moderators can take appropriate actions.
Pay to Post a Job
We've also added reasonable pricing (just $149 USD) to post a new job to the board. Once your job post is approved, it can stay live for up to a year, or until you decide to take the post down.
Posting a job can optionally open a direct communications channel via the messaging system (see above). With just a few clicks, developers can reach out to express interest in the role.
And because the messaging system works in both directions, it's also possible for a Company representative to reach out to any available Developers who have the messaging system enabled.
