By now you've heard the hype about AI, and many developers have started using it in their day-to-day tasks. Whether it's OpenAI, Claude, or one of the many others emerging, AI-based tools have become integral to the tool sets of many modern programmers.
Which is why we're introducing Sidekick, the most tightly integrated AI tool for Craft CMS. It lives within the control panel to help you manage both the content and configuration of your Craft project.
AI Chat Window
Sidekick's primary feature is the interactive chat window, where you can talk to the AI model and direct it to make specific changes on your behalf. Sidekick can manage a number of things, including templates, entries, fields, and sections. More native skills are coming soon!
And if that's not enough, you can always add your own custom skills. Within the context of a custom skill function, you can give Sidekick whatever superpowers you want!
"AI Summary" Field Type
As a cherry on top, we've also added an "AI Summary" field type. The purpose of the field is to summarize the content of your entire entry (or a portion of it), and format the summary however you'd like in a simple text field.
This new field type is useful for generating bullet-point summaries, SEO descriptions, and more!
